Flaming June

Well, we’re all still buzzing from what a great weekend we had at the day course last weekend.

We were joined by some of the Taoist Cultural Arts Association’s most experienced teachers from across the country and were really grateful for their coaching and insight.

It’s great to see students who are starting to get past the absolute beginner stage grow in confidence as they progress through learning the moves of the dance and form and deepen their understanding of the tai chi art.

Hot on the heels of that success, I’m pleased to confirm we have another opportunity to train togerher later this month as it’s the Coventry club’s turn to host a weekend course.

This one is over two days and on the Sunday will be focussed on kung fu, where we’ll explore soft style techniques focused on self-defence. This event is perfect for those new to kung fu or anyone interested in learning non-aggressive ways to protect themselves.

For more details and to book on the course, take a look at the Seahorse Arts website:

In the meantime, tai chi classes continue every Wednesday 6.30-8.00pm at Kings Heath Community Centre here in Birmingham.

Get in touch if you have any questions, or come along to a class and find out what it’s all about.
